Jobless Rate Down For Third Straight Month

Nevada County’s unemployment rate dropped for a third straight month in March, to 4.4%. It’s a minor drop from February of .2%. The sector with the biggest numerical increase in jobs from the month before was Government, followed by Farming, Wholesale Trade, and Financial Activities. The sector with the biggest drop was Leisure and Hospitality, followed by Mining and Construction, Retail Trade, and Information. Nevada County had the 15th lowest jobless rate among the state’s 58 counties.
