Jobless Rate Remains Stagnant In Nevada Co

Nevada County’s unemployment rate remains stagnant, although it did take a very slight drop, of one-tenth of a point, to 5-percent in December. And that was enough to improve the county’s ranking by three spots, with the 12th lowest rate among California’s 58 counties. The rate is also seven-tenths of a point lower than a year ago. The Leisure and Hospitality sector gained, by far, the most jobs, at 740. The biggest drop was in the Mining, Logging, and Construction sector, at 190 jobs.
