Judging the Judge Candidates

The race for Nevada County Superior Court Judge was narrowed from five candidates to two during the primary election in June. In November voters will be choosing one of two candidates, current Assistant District Attorney- Anna Ferguson, or litigator and Judge Pro Tem Robert Tice-Raskin. Both candidates bring solid experience to the table. So voters will be looking for ther characteristics to differentialt the candidates. At a recent candidate League of Women Voters forum Ferguson and Tice-Raskin fielded questions from community members and media panelists about their qualifications and beliefs related to the position. One question focused on how the candidates fit in with current sitting judges. Robert Tice-Raskin says he fits well with the current team.
