Juvenile Charged for Alleged Arson in Auburn

A juvenile is in custody for allegedly starting a fire at an Auburn school in September. Auburn Police Detective Sgt Dale Hutchins, says its a case of kids playing with fire.

No structures were damaged as a result of the fire, but landscaping materials were involved.

Monday, Feb 25, the Skyridge School Resource Officer arrested a remorseful 14 year old male suspect who confessed and provided details of the events that led to the fire. The juvenile was booked into the Placer County Juvenile Hall for arson and other unrelated charges.
