Boys and girls are segregated at the facility, so there are two teachers, a special education teacher who comes in twice a week, and numerous probation staff help out. Dennis Desmond is one of the teachers, and says discipline is not as big of a problem as you might think…

Sugarloaf Mountain averages about a half-dozen graduations a year. The school opened in 2007.
