Kansas Man Arrested Following Near Collision with Police Cruiser

A Kansas man is in custody on various drug charges after getting pulled over in Grass Valley for suspected driving under the influence after almost hitting a police cruiser. Grass Valley Police Captain, Rex Marks, says 33 year old Ronald Stump pulled out right in front of the officer just before the end of his shift.

Marks says investigating officers determined the out of state resident was not licensed to drive in California and appeared under the influence and was taken into custody. Officers then discovered additional suspected drug related items.

Stump was arrested and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
