KC-135 Returning To Beale

Local air re-refueling cababililty is returning to Beale Air Force Base, after an 8-year absence. The base’s 940th refueling wing flew the KC-135 Stratotankers for more than three decades, until the unit was re-aligned by the Air Force Realignment and Closure Commssion. Hazelwood says the ceremony also marks the transfer of the Global Hawk mission to Beale’s 9th Reconnaisance Wing.
