KNCO Founder Carroll Brock Dies

Carrol Eugene Brock has Died. While many people in the housing industry knew him as the man who rode the post WWII housing boom to be one of the top builders in the country, in Nevada County he is also known as the founder of KNCO Am and FM Radio Stations in Grass Valley which launched on the air in 1977.  Brock also joined partners to purchase and refurbish the historic Bret Harte Hotel in Grass Valley and convert it into a senior residential complex.  And in Sacramento Brock under the banner of Larchmont Homes, built nearly 15,000 ranch style homes in more than 30 subdivisions aimed mostly at first time home buyers. Carol Eugene Brock was born in Los Angeles in 1926 and died of natural causes last Friday. (Oct. 31) He was 88.  Memorial services will be at 2pm Friday November 7th at the Pleasant Grove Community Church in Roseville. All wishing to celebrate his life are welcomed to attend.
