Knife Wielding Suspect Charged with Threats

Making threats regardless of a person’s state of mind is illegal and landed a man in jail Sunday evening. The incident occurred in the area of East Main Street and Dorsey Drive just before 6:00 PM. Grass Valley Police Sgt Joe Matteoni said that the the victim was walking with a friend when he was approached by an intoxicated  male subject.

The victim feared for his life and called 911. Officers made contact with the caller and the suspect, Jarrod Sullivan, who was in possession of nine inch knife including the handle. Sullivan was taken into custody for making criminal threats.
