Kurt’s Garden to open on East Main St

A new business is opening on E. Main Street near the round-about in Grass Valley. A sign of an improving economy? Kurt Wahi hopes so. Kurt’s Garden will offer a wide variety of landscaping plants and trees as well as other landscaping materials at 595 E. Main Street.

Wahi has been operating a landscaping business from his property in Grass Valley for 7 years and managed other large landscaping buisinesses before that. This new Main Street location will be what Kurt calls a plant “boutique” with unusual landscaping plants such as Lavender twist red buds, Korean firs, Japanese pines and as welll as deer proof, drought tollerant plants suitable for Nevada County. Kurt will be bringing in a large variety of large specimins, his specialty, to promote the business in this new high visibility location.

Eventually a cafe is planned for the street front with patio dining. Wahi expects to open Kurt’s Garden the week after July 4th.
