Lacy J Dalton Concert to Benefit Rescued Horses

By Ashlyn Rhodes

When Animal Control rescued 41 horses in January, people scrambled to find a way to care for them all.  Sammie’s Friends and the Horses Plus Humane Society in Bangor took charge of the herd, but feeding them and paying their medical bills has been a hard hit to both organizations.  Country star Lacy J. Dalton has stepped up and offered to help.  She’ll be traveling over from her home in Nevada to play a concert to benefit the horses– proceeds will go to feeding the horses and paying for their medical bills.  Dalton says there are plenty of reasons to love horses, which can be stronger than they look.
