A special night just for women is happening in downtown Grass Valley Thursday Night October 8th. Grass Valley downtown Association Executive Director Diane Raymond says the date was picked because it’s a time of year when the kids are back in school, and the hectic pace of the holidays hasn’t kicked in.

Nearly 30 businesses are participating in Ladies Night Out and offering special sales, or gift with purchase, entertainment and music.

Ladies Night Out is a new idea for downtown Grass Valley.  Raymond says they’ve gotten great support from the downtown businesses and a lot of women’s organizations in the area have also gotten excited about it.

The event runs from 5 to 8 pm Thursday night October 8th.
