Lake Wildwood Beaches Still Closed

Beaches remain closed, and there’s still no swimming at Lake Wildwood this Labor Day weekend, because of the E.coli outbreak of over a month ago. 18 cases have been reported, 10 who have been hospitalized. The Health and Human Services Department says there are no current hospitalizations, but the seriousness of the illness should not be underestimated. Officials also remind people to not swim in any recreational waters or pools if they are experiencing any gastrointestinal symptoms until at least 2 weeks after symptoms are gone.
