LaMalfa Says Small Businesses Getting Fair Shake

Nevada County’s Congressman Doug Lamalfa is voting for another 484-billion dollar federal package to bolster small businesses and hospitals ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic. It’s already been approved unanimously by the Senate. It includes a key loan program to keep employees on small company payrolls. Money for the program, created as part of the original two-trillion dollar rescue package, quickly dried up. There have also been allegations that the larger chain companies benefitted too much. But LaMalfa is skeptical…

The bill passed Tuesday also allocates 60-billion dollars for small lenders, as part of the small business aid program. It puts another 60-billion toward Small Business Administration disaster assistance loans and grants. And it includes 75-billion in hospital relief and coronavirus testing.
