LaMalfa Wants Oroville Dam Relicensing Delay

LaMalfa says the Commission should also issue direction to the Department of Water Resources, providing detailed instructions, implementation plans, and compliance requirements to address any findings of the report. Also, before making a relicensing decision, he says the Commission should receive and review a complete analysis determining the condition and adequacy of all recreational facilities. And LaMalfa says the new license should also include adequate compensation for Oroville and Butte County for the services they provide. That includes law enforcement efforts to secure the dam, search and rescue, operations, and maintenance.
