Large Bust in South County

Investigators from Placer and Nevada Counties searched two homes in south Nevada County Tuesday morning. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says Investigators went to a home in the twenty-two (22) thousand block of Sunset Ridge in Lake of the Pines searching for a marijuana growing operation. The Sheriff says no growing marijuana was found, but thirty-nine (39) hundred dollars in cash and four assault weapons were found. The Sheriff says a second home on Carriage Road was searched. He says a quantity of marijuana was located at this site.

32 year old Seth Garten of Grass Valley was  taken into custody. Two people found tending the marijuana crop were interviewed and released.
