A large amount of marijuana, plus evidence of butane honey oil manufacturing, has been found at a home in Nevada City. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a search warrant was served at the home, on Purdon Road. That’s where officers also found a man who’d fled another home in the area, following a domestic dispute….

38 immature marijuana plants were also seized, as well as 50 to 75 empty butane cannisters. Also…two rifles, including one reported stolen in Oroville in 1974, as well as a handgun and ammunition. Royal says no arrests have been made so far. But even with the legalization of recreational marijuana, there’s still the potential for a felony case…

It’ll be up to the District Attorney’s Office to issue arrest warrants and determine if any felony charges should be filed.
