Large Quantity of Heroin Located During Traffic Stop

A large quantity of heroin along with a quantity of methamphetamine were located during a traffic stop on Highway 20. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says an officer on routine patrol witnessed a car make an unsafe turn across multiple lanes of traffic.

The officer made contact with the driver, 25 year old Robert Ferreira, and it was discovered he was driving on a suspended license as well as having warrants for his arrest out of Placer County. Officers took Ferreira into custody at that time and searched the vehicle.

Ferreira was booked on his original warrants as well as the new drug charges.
