The next in a series of ‘open houses’ about Nevada City’s Measure C is tonight. That’s a measure that would increase the city’s sales tax three-eighths of a cent to fund the city’s only fire station. In addition to funding two firefighters to staff Station 54, the measure would also fund an additional police officer. Nevada City has had two open houses so far, with attendance short of expectations…
Tonight’s open house is from 6:30 to 8pm at the City Hall Police Bay. You can enter through the back on Spring Street. There will also be two more open houses–Saturday October 15 from 10am to noon at Fire Station 54, and Tuesday November 1 from 6:30 to 8pm at Seaman’s Lodge.
