For the first time since the statewide coronavirus shutdown order, the Legislature reconvenes on Monday. That includes for Nevada County’s recently-elected Assembly representative Megan Dahle. She says she’s very confident that all safety precautions have been set up properly. She says fewer bills will be considered, including by the education committee she’s a member of that’s holding a hearing on Wednesday. But one of those is hers and would allow schools to use their three-year average for student disability funding…
Dahle says child care funding will also be a priority…
Dahle says Governor Newsom’s May budget revision, reflecting the economic downturn, is expected to be released May 14th. She says she’d also like more clarity on coronavirus emergency spending from the governor. She also praises Modoc County’s recent decision to lift the stay-at-home order as diligent and responsible. She and her husband, State Senator Brian Dahle, live about 45 minutes from the town of Alturas.
