Library Additions Planned With New Funding Sources

This could be a good year from Nevada County’s libraries. Expansion of programs is planned, and so is expansion of the Penn Valley branch. Nevada County Librarian Yolande Wilburn says they just received a 35-thousand dollar family literacy grant from the state…

Also, with the local sales tax going to libraries now a quarter-of-a-cent instead of an eighth-of-a-cent, Wilburn says some of that money will be going to add on to the Penn Valley Library. She says they’ve already met with community members and had architects draw up some ideas…
