Library Expands Hours For Families and Workers

As COVID restrictions continue to allow for more activities, the Nevada County Library is extending its hours to help accommodate those who cannot get to any of the branches before 5:00PM. Librarian Nick Wilczek says they are adding an additional hour during weekdays even though its still not back to regular hours.

The extra hour is allowing for more teen uses including Friday afternoon at the Grass Valley location on Mill Street.

Wilczek also says the extra hour on Tuesdays at the Madelyn Helling Library at the Rood Center will include a Artifact and Art Club.

That club includes instructor led activities that enrich and expand the artistic side of tweens and teens.
