Nevada County libraries are inching closer to more normal services, under Phase Two reopening. Librarian Rachel Tucker says curbside pickup is available, starting today, for books, DVD’s, music CD’s, magazines and audio books, at the Madelyn Helling and Truckee branches…
You should also display your last name on the dashboard. For the Grass Valley and Penn Valley branches, Tucker says there will be designated spaces, six feet apart, for people to call from. Items will be left outside the front door for you to grab after the employee goes back inside. Pickup services are available from noon to 3pm Monday through Friday. Libraries can be called between noon and 5pm. And she’s still not sure yet when people can once again enter libraries…
Library book drops at these locations will also be reopening at this time. You can return items at any time, with late fees waived until June 26th. And Tucker says online and virtual services also remain available.
