Life Without Parole For Two Murder Convicts

Two brothers convicted of murder have been formally sentenced by a Nevada County judge to life in prison without parole, along with consecutive 25-year terms. District Attorney Cliff Newell says the sentences are pre-set by law for such a crime. He says 23-year-old Christopher Nix and 20-year-old Scott Hollingshead were convicted of special allegations that included lying in wait in the April 2014 shooting and beating death of Brian Spalding, outside Spalding’s Banner Mountain home…
