Lightning Activity in Tahoe National Forest

There was quite a bit of lightning activity on the Tahoe National Forest Sunday and into last night.  Tahoe National Forest spokesperson Ann Westling says there were 65 strikes detected on the Tahoe and they started three fires.

Westling says later today Tahoe National Forest Aerial Recon will be going up looking for any additional smoke.
There were 2,781 lightning strikes detected within the entire state   from recent storm activity.
