Local Author Chris Enss Uncovers Love Lessons from the Old West

Local Resident and Author Chris Enss continues to produce novels, many about the characters and events of the wild West.  Here latest book, which is her 30th,  is called Love Lessons from the Old West: Wisdom from Wild Women. From Emma Walters, who gave it all up for the dashing Bat Masterson—and learned to regret it,  and Calamity Jane’s relentless pursuit of Wild Bill Hickok. Enss tells their full stories.

Much of the research for Love Lessons from the Old West came from papers Enss found at the Kit Carson Museum in Taos New Mexico.

Chris Enss will be at the Nevada County Railroad Museum #5 Kidder Court in Nevada City,  Saturday from noon until 3 for a talk  and launch of her new book.
