Cannabis Grower Survey Says They’re Responsible

Current and former medical marijuana growers in Nevada County say they are, and will continue to be, responsible in complying with state and local regulations. 514 completed a survey conducted by the local Cannabis Alliance that they hope will better inform the Community Advisory Group working on a permanent ordinance. Alliance Communications Director, Maria Herrera, says over 70% claim to have strong local roots, including owning land or homes for more than 5 years, with the majority also involved mostly in non-cannabis businesses or jobs. Herrera says the survey also reveals that 53% would support an ordinance that allows third-party certification for organic growing practices…

Herrera says 77% also stated that they would work toward compliance with a permanent county ordinance, as long as there’s a grace period before it’s fully enforced.
