Local Emergency Declared Due To Storm Impacts

At their meeting on Tuesday, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors declared a local emergency, due to the recent storms. That’s resulted in damage to roads, from fallen trees, debris flows, and culvert failures, especially in the Eastern County. The declaration allows the county to respond more effectively. That includes seeking and utilizing mutual aid, as needed, obtain state and federal funding, where it’s available.
