Local Fire Department aids Firefighters in Clear Lake

Local fire fighters are on the fire line at a new fire near Clear Lake, in Lake County.  Nevada County Consolidated Battalion Chief Jim Turner says a strike team of five fire engines left at four this morning for the fire reported near Highway 20 in Clear Lake.  Chief Turner says these engines were used on the recent fire near Colfax.

Fire fighters are expeceted to be on the fire lines for at least a week before they are releived or the fire is contained.  Cal Fire has mandate evacuation of threatened homes in the Spring Valley area.
