Local Health Emergency From Fire Debris

Nevada County officials estimate that more than 40 structures were lost from the Lobo and McCourtney Fires, including 22 homes. Irani says the resolution will authorize the county to seek assistance from state agencies. Propane tanks, as well as residential well water supply and septic systems, will be assessed as well. The number of structures lost also includes multiple non-residential structures on one property…

Irani says it’s expected that inspections will begin Thursday and last through the weekend. Removal of debris and cleanup is estimated at 4-6 weeks.
