Local Non-Profits Get Additional Grant Funding

Interfaith Food Ministry was awarded 13-thousand dollars for the purchase of protein rich foods as part of their Hunger to Health Project. The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assualt Coalition will be given 12-thousand dollars, and Hospitality House 10-thousand. Both can use those funds for day to day operations. Dent says they were able to come up with the extra money through savings…

Grants are done on a two-year cycle, and Dent says the deadline for the next one is coming up on Friday. Any interested non-profit should check out the county’s website under the social services department.
