It’s one thing to be angered by a tragedy and write something on Facebook. It’s quite another to be so affected, you organize a rally and vigil. That’s what an 18 year-old Nevada County youth is doing. Bobby Trice says he’s had a hard time dealing with the shooting at a popular gay night spot in Orlando Sunday…
He is organizing a candlelight vigil at Robinson Plaza in Nevada City. It will be tomorrow night at 6pm…
There will be speakers, some music, and a moment of silence for those who died in the shooting, as well as those recovering. While Trice is scared by what happened over the weekend, he says this has nothing to do with Islam, and will not tolerate Islamophobia…
Trice, who is a college student in North Carolina and home for the summer, is hoping to get community leaders from both Grass Valley and Nevada City, as well as anyone from the public who wishes to take part. Again, it’s at 6pm tomorrow (Wednesday) at Robinson Plaza in Nevada City.
