Long Time Grass Valley Resident Reported Missing

A long time Grass Valley resident has been reported missing. According to a close friend, 74 year old Wilma Barnhart has not been seen since sometime Sunday July 7th. Barnhart was last seen in the Brunswick area at Rite Aid, Bank of America, and the Flyers Gas Station.

Barnhart drives a brown GMC SUV type vehicle. No license plate information is available at this time.

Wilma Barnhart was expected at her friends house Sunday afternoon because power at Barnhart’s Primrose Lane housing complex was being shut off while repair work was completed. Two separate friends offered her a place to stay in order to be out of the heat. Barnhart never arrived at either house adn has not ben heard from at this point. An avid bowler, Barnhart also uncharacteristically missed her regular bowling night Wednesday evening without contacting anyone.
Barnhart has spent most of her life in Grass Valley. A photo of Wilma Barnhart is posted at KNCO with this story.
Anyone with any information about Wilma Barnhart is urged to call Grass Valley Police Department or The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
