Tomorrow is the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year. AS part of that day, a local card playing club is p[participating in a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research and awareness. Team Captain of the Eskaton Bridge Club, Larry King, says over 100 card players will be playing bridge from sunrise to sunset.

The event is co-sponsored by the American Contract Bridge League and Alzheimer’s Association. Since the event is an official League event, so the sanction fees for the event get donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. King says players also raise donations.*

Bridge games start at 5:42, 9:00, 12:30, and 4:15 and take place at the Eskaton Main Building. Players may join at any time during the day. King says that this day is also the George Feineman Memorial Day for the club’s past president who passed away this last year. Feineman was instrumental in Eskaton’s participation in the Longest Day event.
