LOP Accident Takes Out Power Pole

An early morning solo vehicle accident in Lake of The Pines took down a power pole causing local residents to be without electricity for several hours while P G and E replaced the pole earlier today. The downed power lines also caused CHP to close Torrey Pines Road while repairs were taking place. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says the collision that took place around 3:30 AM involving a vehicle going down an embankment, hitting the power pole and turning over is still a bit of a mystery.
