Lots of Restaurants Not In COVID Compliance

With restaurants once again restricted to take-out and delivery service only, under the Stay at Home order, Nevada County’s Environmental Health Director says she’s received an unprecedented number of complaints about indoor dining violations. Amy Irani says the calls, coming mostly from restaurant owners who are being compliant, include Humpty Dumpty Kitchen, Lumberjack’s, Gary’s Place, and Valentina’s in Grass Valley. Also, McGee’s, Friar Tucks, Cally Lilly, and One-Eleven in Nevada City. Complaints have been verified but contacts are just starting to be made…

The Nevada City Council recently passed an urgency ordinance that would impose fines on people who repeatedly fail to wear masks. There’s no word on whether anyone has been cited yet.
