Love Building and Parking Lot to Get Improvements

The Love Building in Condon Park will see improvements to its parking lot after the Nevada County Board of Supervisors at their meeting yesterday (Tuesday) approved a Recreation Mitigation Funding proposal submitted by the city of Grass Valley.  The Gold Country Community Center is now located in the Love Building and Executive Director Sandy Jacobson says the improvements will serve their clients as well as little league and other community events at Condon Park.

The  Recreation Mitigation  funding  is for  $49,500   and the Community Center will need to raise $2,000  to complete the parking lot project.  A $400,000 Community Development Block Grant will be used for other improvements to the interior of the building including  new energy efficient windows, lighting and flooring, and new heating and air conditioning.  Jacobson says the work on both projects could get started next fall.
