Evacuation Advisories Could Be Lifted Today

Fire officials are hoping for another significant milestone today on the Lowell Fire. Yesterday, evacuation warnings were reduced from mandatory to advisory, and today they are hoping to lift all orders. CalFire Captain Mike Mohler says a lot more progress has been made over the last 24 hours…

The Lowell Fire is now listed as 60 percent contained, with acreage holding at 2303. They’ve also drastically reduced the number of structures threatened from over 15-hundred, down to 54. One outbuilding has been destroyed. The number of personnel on the blaze has also been reduced to under two-thousand.
