The man accused of assaulting and terrorizing a 10-year-old Grass Valley girl has been ordered to stand trial. That’s the ruling of a Nevada County judge Tuesday after a hearing to determine if there was enough evidence to try 45-year-old Christian Stevens. District Attorney Cliff Newell says Stevens will be tried on charges of false imprisonment by violence, battery, and unlawful weapon possession. The girl was on the stand for over two hours. The incident occurred on a trail near Condon Park in September. The girl was able to fend off her attacker, by striking him with her instrument case.
