Man Arrested for Hazardous Dumping in Nevada City

Nevada City Police responded to a citizens call of some illegal activity going on in the parking lot of the Stonehouse yesterday afternoon. Sgt. Paul Rhode says when they arrived around 4 p.m. they found a motorhome in the parking lot.

At the parking lot police contacted the man who was dumping from the motorhome and identified him as Joshua Taylor a local resident.

The spill was a small amount and environmental health was not needed for the cleanup. Sgt. Rhode encourages all citizens to report suspicious activity to the police.

Taylor’s warrant was for a DUI and probation violation, he also faces a misdemeanor charge of illegal dumping of hazardous waste.
