Man Arrested for the Third Time Trying to Grow Pot

If at first you don’t succeed… try, try again… that might be what is running through the mind of a 54 year old man that has been arrested for the third time for illegally growing marijuana. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal say that one of his deputies and a forest service agent found the man growing on a piece of land off Lower Greenhorn Road.

As officers looked farther the located gardening tools and trash and a man in a tent.

Furnas,-Robert-5-29-141Furnas had also been arrested for growing marijuana at a location up near the landfill. There was something unique about Furnas when he was arrested the prior two times.

Furnas was arrested for the new growing charges as well as violation of probation for his prior charges and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
