A man who was wanted by police for violation of a Domestic Violence restraining order has gone to jail on that and other charges. A “Be on the Lookout” was issued to local law enforcement for Donald Peltzer, 42, on June 4th after he made contact with the victim. On Sunday June 7th Peltzer was spotted by a Grass Valley Police officer in the Sutton Way Shopping Center between Flour Garden and CVS.

Grass Valley Police Sgt. Clint Bates says Peltzer wrestled with the officer for nearly two minutes before the officer was able to take him into custody.

Peltzer was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for violation of the Domestic Violence restraining order which is a misdemeanor and one felony charge of Obstructing and Resisting a Police officer. Bail on both charges is $82,500.
