A man was stabbed a number of times in a house in the Colfax area Monday night. According to Placer County Sheriff Public Information Officer, Dena Erwin, a neighbor heard suspicious sounds coming from inside the house.

When deputies arrived they located a 24 year old male bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
The stabbing victim did not provide any helpful information to deputies.

The caller stated that two vehicles with possibly 5 suspects were seen leaving the property before deputies arrived. Detectives are following up on a number of leads. The victim is not in a life threatening condition. Anyone with information about the stabbing incident is urged to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stopper.
