Man Steals Vehicles Fires Shots In Washington

Residents in the town of Washington were on edge Tuesday, after a report of stolen vehicles and shots fired. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Paul Schmidt says an Hispanic man, who is about 6-feet tall and weighs about 280 pounds, had stolen a car from Vallejo. He says for unknown reasons the man ended up in Washington, where he ditched the car. But then he stole another one and fired several shots in the air. Schmidt says the suspect was seen driving down Maybert Road where the CHP was directing traffic for the bridge construction project…

No one was hit. Then, Schmidt says, the suspect crashed that vehicle, while trying to turn onto a driveway. He then broke into the garage of a home and stole an all-terrain vehicle, while also crashing through the garage door. Soon after, that vehicle was crashed, with the suspect taking off on foot…
