For the second time in less than three months, a Lake of the Pines man, with a long criminal history in Nevada County, has been arrested again while out on bail for his previous arrest. This time, Nevada City Police have jailed 35-year-old Justin Montgomery. Police Sergeant Paul Rhode says Montgomery was a passenger in a car that had been pulled over in the Bonanza Market parking lot that had an expired registration sticker and a tail light out. Proposition 64 allows possession of no more than 8 grams of concentrated cannabis, which comes in such forms as hash and honey oil. In 2014, Montgomery was considered one of the most wanted suspects by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Department. Rhode says drug addiction has been behind all of Montgomery’s crimes, which also have included numerous burglaries. His previous arrest was related to vehicle break-ins.
