Mandated Reporter Training Wednesday

One way community members can help lower incidents of Child Abuse in Nevada County is to recognize the signs and report suspected child abuse to appropriate authorities. All school employees and many other local citizens have the responsibility of being mandated reporters- meaning they have to, by law, report suspected abuse. However, anyone can and should report abuse.

Community Support Network of Nevada County Coordinator, Paula Roediger says her organization is sponsoring a free training on Wednesday.

The 90 minute Mandated Reporters training is at Lyman Gilmore School from 4:00-5:30 on Wednesday.

The training is another example of how Nevada County is supporting Child Abuse Prevention Month.
