Mandatory Water Restrictions Enacted

Statistics show Nevada County water users have done a good job cutting back during the drought, but water restrictions are now mandatory. As part of a state requirement, Nevada City will announce restrictions at the City Council meeting tonight. State regulations mean you can only water twice a week. Runoff from properties is also limited and you are required to use a shut-off nozzle on hoses. Prestwich says most area residents are doing these things anyway…

The Grass Valley City Council adopted similar measures at their meeting last night.
