Manhunt for Cop Shooter Ends In Auburn

A manhunt for the shooter of two sheriff’s deputies and a citizen that began in Sacramento ended in Auburn Friday. KNCO’s Don Langford was on scene Friday and provides this report shortly after the suspect Marcello Marquez was taken into custody around 4:00 PM.

One Sacramento Deputy, Danny Oliver was killed in Sacramento as the incident began. A civilian who confronted Marquez adn a female suspect was also shot in Sacramento. A Placer County Sheriff Deputy Michael Davis Jr. was fatally shot in Auburn and a second Placer deputy that was shot is being treated for gunshot wounds.
