A proposed Nevada County marijuana ordinance will be discussed at a special meeting held in Alta Sierra Friday evening April 20th. Don Bessee, one of the organizers of the meeting and the legislative liaison for Nevada County Against Residential Cannabis Cultivation, says the topic will be the newly crafted Nevada County Marijuana Ordinance and how it will effect people in the rural housing areas like Alta Sierra. Bessee says representatives from the Coalition for a Drug Free Nevada County, the Alta Sierra Newspaper, the County Counsel’s Office and Sheriff Office will make presentations.

The proposed Nevada County Marijuana Ordinance will be presented to the Board of Supervisors at their regular meeting on Tuesday April 24.
