Marijuana Theft in Yuba County

Yuba County detectives are investigating the theft of marijuana plants from a West Linda Home by armed intruders early this morning (9/24) according to Sheriff Steven Durfor.
Deputies were called to the 1,000 block of Fleda Street at about 4:30 a.m. after a man called and reported that he had been robbed in his home. The initial investigation revealed that three men had entered the victim’s home without his knowledge at about 3:00 a.m. One of the suspects had a gun and a knife.
During the encounter the armed suspect hit the victim in the head with the gun and threatened him with the knife. The suspects bound the victim’s hands and feet prior to leaving the residence. They took about 30 marijuana plants from the backyard and other miscellaneous items from the home. The victim declined any medical attention. Sheriff Durfor says there were valid scripts located at the home, but the validity of the grow in under investigation.
